Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Evaluates Air Defence Preparedness at Vadodara Station
Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, who holds the positions of PVSM and AVSM, and serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, recently conducted a visit to the Vadodara Military Station. The purpose of his visit was to assess the operational readiness of the First In Battle Air Defence Brigade.

During his inspection, the Army Commander received a detailed briefing on the newly acquired advanced radars. These radars have notably improved the brigade's capabilities in surveillance and airspace management. Additionally, he evaluated the modern repair facility that has been set up to support sustained air defence operations. This facility is designed to facilitate quick maintenance, ensuring high availability of equipment and boosting operational endurance.

Lt Gen Seth praised the brigade for its outstanding performance during Operation SINDOOR, emphasizing its vital contribution to securing airspace in the course of the operation. He applauded the unit for its continued state of high mission readiness, achieved through the seamless integration of advanced and mission-critical technologies into their operations.

The Army Commander emphasized that the brigade's professionalism, effective technological integration, and readiness reflect a steadfast commitment to operational excellence. This, in turn, fortifies the Indian Army's layered air defence strategy, enhancing its capacity to effectively address evolving aerial threats.
