Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Assesses Combat Readiness of Thar Raptor Brigade at Nagtalao Military Station

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, evaluated the operational readiness of the Thar Raptor Brigade during his visit to Nagtalao Military Station on Saturday.

The Army Commander received an in-depth briefing on the brigade's advanced capabilities in aviation, surveillance, reconnaissance, lift, and attack. The presentation highlighted the brigade's significant contribution to Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025, where it executed precise strikes on terrorist camps across the border following the Pahalgam terror incident.

Lt Gen Seth praised the professionalism and high mission readiness of the formation, urging all ranks to continue striving for operational excellence. He also visited the aviation facilities, receiving briefings on the integration of cutting-edge equipment and modern training techniques.

The review highlighted India's growing focus on the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, with the brigade demonstrating a notable increase in the use of indigenous technology. The Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses reported a 30% rise in the integration of domestically developed military technology since 2020.

Renowned for its agility and precise operations, the Thar Raptor Brigade remains a crucial element in India's defence strategy, prepared to swiftly address multi-domain threats.
