Lt Gen DG Misra Assesses Operational Readiness and Infrastructure Rebuilding in Harsil Sector
Lieutenant General DG Misra, AVSM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding at Headquarters Uttar Bharat, recently conducted an inspection of the Harsil sector. His visit aimed to evaluate operational readiness and ongoing reconstruction efforts at the Army Garrison in Harsil following Operation Dharali.
During his inspection, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) reviewed the progress of infrastructure restoration and assessed force preparedness in the region's challenging high-altitude conditions. He interacted with members of the Indian Army and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), praising their resilience, coordination, and steadfast dedication under demanding circumstances.
Lt Gen Misra highlighted the need for “smart soldiering” by advocating for the integration of modern weaponry, advanced equipment, and emerging technologies in daily operations to maintain top operational readiness and improve mission success.
The visit emphasized the importance of constructing resilient infrastructure while strengthening border security, ensuring that troops are fully prepared to address developing challenges throughout the sector.
