On February 27, 2026, Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), paid a visit to the Cadets Training Wing at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE).

During his visit, Lt Gen Sharma evaluated ongoing training programs and explored the implementation of scientifically developed physical conditioning techniques designed to improve the combat readiness of the cadets. These initiatives focus on building endurance, agility, and resilience, aligning with the needs of modern military operations.

He also received a briefing at the 'Ananta' Memorial and Motivation Hall, where he learned about the institution’s history and its contribution to inspiring future leaders.

The Army Commander engaged with officer cadets from several friendly foreign nations, including Vietnam, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Tanzania, reinforcing India's dedication to defense cooperation and capacity building through military training exchanges.

Lt Gen Sharma lauded the Cadets Training Wing for maintaining high standards and adopting a forward-thinking approach. He emphasized the significance of comprehensive training in developing capable, resilient, and mission-ready officers equipped for future battlefields.
