Lt Gen Devendra Sharma Evaluates Training Advancements at JLA Bareilly
Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, awarded with PVSM, AVSM, SM, and serving as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), conducted a visit to the Junior Leaders Academy (JLA) in Bareilly on December 12, 2025. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the current advancements in training and future initiatives for building capabilities.

Throughout his visit, the Army Commander examined various aspects of training, focusing on infrastructure improvements, enhanced drone training modules, and the integration of niche and emerging technologies. These efforts are directed towards enhancing the leadership abilities of the next generation of junior leaders within the Indian Army.

During interactions with instructors and trainees, Lt Gen Sharma expressed appreciation for the academy's initiatives in adapting to the modern demands of the battlefield and in developing leaders who are technologically savvy and ready for missions.

The visit culminated with Lt Gen Sharma honoring two veterans for their distinguished service. He also presented commendations to three serving personnel, recognizing their exceptional dedication and professional excellence.
