Lt Gen CG Muralidharan Appointed Director General of Army Medical Services

Lieutenant General CG Muralidharan has taken on the role of Director General of Medical Services (Army), following the retirement of Lieutenant General Sadhna S Nair, AVSM, VSM. Lt Gen Nair concluded her service on September 30, 2025, after dedicating over 40 years to the nation.
Lt Gen Muralidharan, a graduate of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, joined the Army Medical Corps in 1987. With a distinguished career as a radiologist, he has served in various operational, administrative, and instructional capacities.
His extensive experience includes healthcare management in the Northern and Western regions, dealing with the complexities of providing medical services in challenging conditions.

In his new position, Lt Gen Muralidharan intends to focus on delivering comprehensive healthcare to military personnel, veterans, and their families. His goals include enhancing medical readiness at frontline facilities, incorporating modern technology, and evolving medical support systems to address the changing landscape of warfare and security threats.
The Army Medical Corps, under his direction, aims to maintain its dedication to world-class healthcare for the Armed Forces. With its guiding principle, "Sarve Santu Niramayah," meaning "May all be free from illness," the Corps continues to pursue excellence in military medicine and care for its personnel.
