Lt Gen AVS Rathee Reviews Foreign Training and Military-Civil Fusion Node at Aundh Station
Lieutenant General AVS Rathee, General Officer Commanding of Konark Corps, visited Aundh Military Station to review the infrastructure and training facilities at the Foreign Training and Military-Civil Fusion (MCF) Training Node, with a particular focus on the station’s evolving training ecosystem and the cooperation it supports between the Armed Forces and other security organisations.
During the visit, the Corps Commander was briefed on how the Foreign Training and MCF Training Node functions and on the infrastructure and facilities created to meet specialised training requirements. The review covered the broader training environment developed at the station and the initiatives being pursued to strengthen professional military training.
Lt Gen Rathee also acknowledged the role of Shivneri Brigade, commending the formation for the professionalism displayed at the training node and for the Military-Civil Fusion initiatives it has undertaken. His visit placed emphasis on the practical value of such arrangements in bringing together military personnel and other security organisations in a structured training setting.
A notable part of the programme was the Corps Commander’s interaction with personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) who are undergoing training at the facility. The engagement reflected the increasing emphasis on sharing expertise, training methods and experience between the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces.
Lt Gen Rathee also felicitated outstanding achievers for their performance during training, recognising their dedication and professional excellence. The acknowledgement formed part of a visit that was as much about assessing the station’s facilities as it was about encouraging the standards expected of those training there.
Military-Civil Fusion training initiatives are designed to enable a greater exchange of expertise, resources and best practices between military formations and other security organisations. Such joint training is intended to improve coordination and interoperability while also exposing personnel to a wider range of operational and security environments.
The Corps Commander praised the formation for maintaining high training standards and stressed the importance of sustained operational preparedness. His remarks aligned with the broader purpose of the training node, which is to develop professional competencies while widening interaction between military and security forces through organised training initiatives.
