Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar Assesses Medical Preparedness in Exercise Surge Response at Dinjan Military Hospital

Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, who commands the Spear Corps, made a visit to the Military Hospital in Dinjan. His visit was to evaluate Exercise Surge Response, an extensive operation focused on medical preparedness and disaster relief.

Throughout his visit, the Army Commander closely examined the hospital's emergency response systems, as well as the casualty management processes and coordination drills designed to replicate real-life crisis scenarios.

Lt Gen Pendharkar commended the medical teams for their professionalism, dedication, and technical expertise. He stressed the importance of military healthcare personnel in ensuring swift and effective responses in times of humanitarian crises and natural disasters.

Additionally, he spent time with National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets who actively took part in various relief and evacuation drills. The General Officer Commanding praised their enthusiasm, discipline, and desire to contribute to the community, underlining the significance of youth involvement in national resilience and emergency preparedness efforts.

The exercise reinforced the Indian Army's commitment to enhancing civil-military collaboration, improving medical readiness, and promoting a proactive approach to humanitarian assistance in the region.
