Lt Col Abhishek Ranade Named Best Student Officer at ASC Centre Bengaluru's Senior Officers’ Course Completion

The Senior Officers’ Course at the ASC Centre and College in Bengaluru concluded on October 18, 2025, with Lt Col Abhishek Ranade from the Army Service Corps being honored as the Best Student Officer. The course is recognized for enhancing the skills and competencies of mid-career officers, preparing them to lead ASC units effectively in various military operations.
The course saw the successful completion by 18 officers from the Army Service Corps along with one officer from the Botswana Army. These officers were trained in contemporary logistics practices, operational planning, and technological advancements, all critical for sustaining military operations across challenging and diverse environments.

Lt Gen JK Gera, Commandant of the ASC Centre and College, delivered the Valedictory Address. He lauded the officers for completing the course and highlighted the necessity of adapting to the changing dynamics of warfare. He encouraged the officers to integrate innovation and technology into operational logistics to ensure readiness and efficiency in future missions.

Lt Col Abhishek Ranade's exceptional performance earned him the title of Best Student Officer. In addition, Col Sarath Chand Achukolu was awarded the Book Prize for being the Most Innovative and Disruptive Thinker, an accolade that underscores the institution's focus on nurturing creativity and original thinking among its officers.
