Lieutenant Yash Vardhan Leads Young Officers Course at MCTE Mhow, Earns Prestigious Honour

The Young Officers Course at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow concluded on June 1, 2026. This event marked the successful training of emerging military leaders equipped to handle the technological and operational challenges of modern warfare.

This course saw participation from Indian Army officers as well as officers from several allied nations, including Cameroon, Mongolia, Namibia, Kyrgyzstan, Lesotho, Ivory Coast, and Eswatini.

The Award Presentation Ceremony was led by Lieutenant General Ulhas Kirpekar, AVSM, SM, who serves as the Director General Financial Planning and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Signals.

At the ceremony, Lt Gen Kirpekar honored the award winners and praised the young officers for their professionalism and dedication. He highlighted the critical need for technological expertise, adaptability, and operational readiness in today's multi-domain warfare landscape.

A notable moment of the ceremony was the awarding of the Plaque of Honour and the Thru Medal to Lieutenant Yash Vardhan for achieving First Position in the Overall Order of Merit.
