Lieutenant General Dinesh Singh Rana Opens New Veterans Welfare Facility for Garhwal Rifles
Lieutenant General Dinesh Singh Rana, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, PhD, who holds the positions of Commander-in-Chief of the Strategic Forces Command and Colonel of The Garhwal Rifles and Garhwal Scouts, has officially opened the “Integrated Veterans Welfare Arena” at the Records of The Garhwal Rifles.
This newly inaugurated, advanced complex is designed to function as a single-window facility, offering a full range of welfare and pension services for veterans, Veer Naris, Veer Matas, next of kin, and dependents.
The facility aims to streamline multiple support services in one location, facilitating rapid resolution of grievances, pension assistance, and specialized welfare systems, all crafted to enhance convenience and uphold the dignity of former servicemen and their families.

Additionally, the complex is equipped with a comfortable waiting area, refreshment services, and café facilities to enhance the overall visitor experience.
Significantly, the welfare arena will also be available to retired personnel from other regiments whose Record Offices are situated at a distance, thereby extending its support to a broader veteran community.
This initiative underscores the Indian Army’s ongoing dedication to the welfare, dignity, and well-being of veterans and their families, honoring their service and sacrifice for the nation.
