Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth Reviews Tech Advancements During Jaisalmer Military Station Visit

Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, conducted an evaluation of the operational readiness of the Battle Axe Division and Raptor Brigade at the Jaisalmer Military Station today.

This review highlighted the Army’s 2025 "Year of Reforms" initiative, emphasizing the integration of drones, AI-powered surveillance, and advanced training systems. These "force multipliers" are anticipated to significantly enhance operational capabilities, with global research indicating a potential 30% increase in effectiveness when such technologies are implemented.

Lt. Gen. Seth commended the swift integration of indigenous defence technologies, underscoring India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Since 2020, the reported usage of indigenous technology within the armed forces has climbed by nearly 30%, bolstering India’s strategic position in response to regional challenges such as the 2020 border standoff with China.

At the conclusion of his review, the Army Commander urged soldiers to uphold high levels of readiness. He emphasized that innovation, self-reliance, and modernization are crucial in maintaining a strategic advantage over potential adversaries.
