Leadership & Management Course Begins at Junior Leaders Academy, Bareilly with International Participation

The Junior Leaders Academy (JLA) in Bareilly inaugurated its Leadership & Management Course on 13 February 2026. This event represents a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to enhance joint military professionalism and leadership skills.

The course has drawn participation from junior leaders across the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force, as well as 25 attendees from allied nations such as Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Ivory Coast. This diverse group underscores India's commitment to defense collaboration, military diplomacy, and mutual learning with international partners.

Designed to bolster core leadership and management skills, the course emphasizes personnel effectiveness, unit administration, and tactical proficiency. It places special emphasis on contemporary and emerging areas like drone warfare, joint integrated operations, and grey zone warfare, which are critical in today’s evolving conflict landscape.

The initiative seeks to foster jointness, interoperability, and professional excellence among junior leaders, equipping them with the necessary skills and perspectives to effectively operate in complex, multi-domain, and coalition settings.
