Kharga Corps Validates EW-Resilient UAV 'Kharga Chakra' in Successful 100 km Trial
The Kharga Corps' Deep Strikers successfully validated Kharga Chakra, a 100-kilometer electronic warfare (EW)-resilient fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), during an operation at the Mahajan Field Firing Range.

Developed collaboratively by Chennai-based start-ups and the Deep Strikers Eagle team, this UAV represents a major advancement in indigenous drone technology for the Indian Army. Kharga Chakra has been engineered to perform in challenging electromagnetic environments, and it demonstrated impressive endurance, accurate navigation, and resistance to EW threats during testing.
The validation event was attended by Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, who praised the teams for their innovative efforts in enhancing critical unmanned capabilities. He emphasized that these platforms are crucial for extending operational reach, improving situational awareness, and achieving precision on contemporary battlefields.
This successful trial highlights the Army's commitment to self-reliance in defense by bolstering domestic solutions in UAV technologies, paving the way for their integration into active service.
