Japanese Naval Delegation Engages in Operational Exchange at India's INS Hansa
In a move to boost international naval collaboration and professional exchanges, a delegation of 46 members from Japan's Command & Staff College visited the Indian Navy's INS Hansa on October 24, 2025. This visit was designed to give Japanese officers a comprehensive insight into the operational environment, training standards, and technological prowess of India's leading naval air station.

During their time at the facility, the delegation explored key areas such as the Air Traffic Control (ATC), INAS 316, the MiG Simulator, and INAS 300, gaining firsthand exposure to the procedures and coordination involved in naval air operations. The visiting officers received briefings on the station's functions in maritime surveillance, coastal defense, and its support role for fleet air arm activities.

The visit also facilitated meaningful exchanges between the naval officers of both nations, allowing them to discuss training techniques, maintenance practices, and the integration of air assets in contemporary maritime strategies.

Such engagements reinforce the Indian Navy's commitment to strengthening relationships with allied countries, fostering mutual understanding, enhancing interoperability, and promoting a collective vision of security and stability within the Indo-Pacific region.
