Khatter shared images and videos from the event on social media, describing the accolade as "the honour of a lifetime" and expressed his gratitude to the regiment for the warm welcome into its community.

A commemorative plaque presented to him highlighted his "authentic portrayal of a 45 Cavalry officer in Pippa" and noted his enduring respect for the regiment's ethos, also featuring the motto "Veer Bhogya Vasundhara."

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, "Pippa" is drawn from Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta's memoir "The Burning Chaffees," chronicling the significant contributions of the 45 Cavalry regiment during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, especially in the Battle of Garibpur, which aided in the liberation of Bangladesh.

Ishaan Khatter leads the cast as Captain Balram Singh Mehta, with performances by Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Soni Razdan.

The film's title, "Pippa," is derived from the Soviet-origin PT-76 amphibious tank, which was utilized by the 45 Cavalry regiment during the conflict in 1971.
