Indian Officer Achieves Top Rank in Kenyan Defence Staff Course
Major Amit Kumar Dalal of the 19 Mechanised Infantry has been congratulated by the High Commission of India in Kenya for his remarkable accomplishment at the Senior Joint Command and Staff Course (2025–26). This course was held at the Joint Command and Staff College Karen and the National Defence University Kenya.
Maj Dalal distinguished himself by securing the second overall position among 95 officers from 19 different countries, showcasing his impressive academic and professional abilities in a competitive international military setting.
Furthermore, the Indian Army officer was honored as the Best Student in the Postgraduate Diploma in Defence and Strategic Studies programme and graduated with Distinction from the National Defence University, Kenya.

This achievement underscores the high level of professionalism, military education, and leadership exhibited by Indian Army officers in international military training programmes.
The Senior Joint Command and Staff Course aims to equip mid-career military officers with the necessary skills for higher command and staff duties, offering advanced education in operational art, strategy, joint warfare, and defence management.
