Indian Navy and Coast Guard Officers Awarded 'Golden Wings' at Southern Naval Command Ceremony
Ceremonial Divisions took place on January 24, 2026, at INS NAO School under the authority of Headquarters Southern Naval Command. This event celebrated the successful completion of training by officers from both the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard.

A total of 11 officers graduated from the 102nd Regular Ab-Initio Course as Air Operations Officers. These consisted of nine officers from the Indian Navy and two from the Indian Coast Guard.

Rear Admiral Deepak Singhal, Chief Staff Officer (Training) at Headquarters Southern Naval Command, presented the graduating officers with the distinguished ‘Golden Wings’. This award signifies their qualification and readiness to take on air operations responsibilities.

The event marked a significant milestone in the careers of these young officers, highlighting the Navy's commitment to maintaining high training standards, fostering jointness, and achieving operational excellence in air-maritime operations.
