The Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala is preparing to conduct the Passing Out Parade (POP) for the Autumn Term 2025 on November 29, marking the culmination of a rigorous training period for naval cadets. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, who holds numerous military honors, will oversee the ceremony as the Reviewing Officer.
This event is among the Indian Navy's most esteemed traditions, embodying the service's fundamental values of discipline, honor, and professional excellence. The parade will feature precise drill routines and movements, reflecting the high standards expected of future leaders in the naval forces.
Midshipmen and cadets from the Indian Navy will be joined by international trainees from countries such as Bangladesh, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Maldives, Myanmar, and Mozambique. Their involvement emphasizes India's expanding maritime partnerships and its dedication to building capacities with allied foreign nations.
Senior naval officials, dignitaries, instructors, and families of the graduating cadets will witness the ceremony. Highlights will include the Review of the Parade, presentation of medals and trophies to outstanding performers, and the ceremonial Shipping of Stripes, marking the commissioning of cadets as naval officers.
To accommodate those unable to be present, the Indian Navy will broadcast the event live on its official Facebook and YouTube channels, allowing audiences in India and around the world to observe this pivotal moment in the careers of soon-to-be naval officers.
