Indian Naval Academy's 26th Convocation: 87 Midshipmen, Including International Cadets, Awarded B.Tech Degrees
The Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala celebrated its 26th Convocation Ceremony on November 28, 2025, continuing its tradition of training future naval leaders. During the event, 87 Midshipmen from the 109th Indian Naval Academy Course, including ten international cadets from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, received their B.Tech degrees. The degrees were conferred by Dr. V. Narayanan, Secretary of the Department of Space and Chairman of ISRO. The ceremony was attended by proud parents, Vice Admiral Manish Chadha, AVSM, VSM, INA Commandant, as well as the academy's officers and instructors.

The graduates completed their studies in three specialized fields: Applied Electronics and Communication Engineering (AEC), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME), all endorsed by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. The extensive B.Tech program at INA has provided them with essential engineering knowledge, analytical skills, and operationally relevant technical expertise. These skills are crucial for officers in a modern navy that employs advanced maritime technologies, participates in network-centric warfare, and adapts to emerging naval innovations.

During the ceremony, the Chief Guest congratulated the new graduates and their families for their dedication and hard work. He commended the faculty and staff of INA for their pursuit of excellence and led the Convocation Oath for the newly commissioned officers. Among the highlights of the event was the presentation of the Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy for best academic performance, awarded to Midshipman Vishnu KK (AEC), Midshipman Rishav Kumar (ECE), and Midshipman Arjun Singh (ME).

This convocation marks the start of a new phase for the graduates as they begin their service in the Indian Navy and allied nations, ready to maintain the highest standards of service, leadership, and technological proficiency in the maritime field.
