Indian Army's Sapta Shakti Command Triumphs in 2025 Clean, Green & Sustainable Station Awards
The Indian Army's Sapta Shakti Command has been awarded the top prize in the Best Clean, Green & Sustainable Station Awards 2025, underscoring its dedication to environmental care and sustainable advancement. Stations located in Bathinda, Sri Ganganagar, and Hisar have been highlighted as exemplary models of cleanliness and eco-friendly practices, driven by community involvement.

General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), presented the awards to those formations and stations that excelled in creating eco-friendly environments, implementing effective waste management, conserving energy, and enhancing afforestation efforts.

The winning stations distinguished themselves through their innovative strategies, including water conservation, use of renewable energy, and community involvement in maintaining cleanliness and greenery in the cantonment areas.
Operating under the theme “Shining with Swachhata & Sustainability,” the initiative seeks to motivate all Army formations to embrace sustainable living, reduce their environmental impact, and cultivate a shared responsibility for nature conservation.
The accolade awarded to Sapta Shakti Command reinforces the Indian Army's longstanding principles of discipline and accountability, extending their role from defense to environmental protection.
