Indian Army's Sapta Shakti Command Demonstrates Operational Excellence in 'Sentinel Strike' Exercise in Rajasthan
The Sapta Shakti Command recently carried out a significant Integrated Fire and Manoeuvre Exercise, known as 'Sentinel Strike,' at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan's Thar Desert. This exercise was designed to demonstrate the Indian Army's capability and readiness to operate effectively in a complex multi-domain environment.
Demonstrating Joint Combat Power
Conducted in an all-arms setting, the exercise integrated various combat and support units. It featured mission-specific operations using modern artillery systems, mechanised manoeuvres, and live firing exercises. These activities were supported by a comprehensive counter-drone and Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) grid, which aimed to enhance force protection and deliver decisive impacts on potential threats through precision and coordinated technology-driven warfare.
Focus on Indigenous Platforms
Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of the Sapta Shakti Command, observed the exercise and praised the troops for their professionalism and teamwork. He highlighted the effective use of indigenous defence systems developed under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, emphasizing India's increasing self-sufficiency in defence production.
Emphasis on Continuous Evolution
Addressing the involved formations, Lt Gen Singh stressed the necessity of adopting new combat strategies and continuously enhancing operational capabilities to maintain an edge in the evolving battlefield environment. He commended the participants for their high training standards and encouraged them to continue advancing their operational effectiveness.
