Indian Army Unveils Operation Sindoor Video, Details Ceasefire Understanding with Pakistan

On Wednesday, the Indian Army's Northern Command unveiled a video capturing highlights from Operation Sindoor, a May offensive targeting terrorist launchpads in Pakistan. This action was a direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives.
In a post shared on X, the Northern Command described the operation as "an exemplar of restraint turning into decisive response," emphasizing that India targeted only specific terrorist bases and subsequently agreed to a ceasefire to prevent further escalation.
Rare Operational Footage
The video, lasting over three minutes, showcases dramatic visuals of precision strikes via drones and missiles on Pakistani targets. It also features a segment from May, where Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), mentions that the ceasefire was initially proposed by Pakistan's DGMO.
The Northern Command stated, "The precision strikes on terror launchpads and elimination of perpetrators of the Pahalgam massacre underscore our unwavering pursuit of peace."
Through bold declarations such as "A new line is drawn: India will not stop until terrorism is wiped out," the Army emphasized its sovereign position of rejecting third-party intervention, subtly alluding to US President Donald Trump's previous claims of having "stopped the war."
Background
Operation Sindoor was initiated by India on May 7, targeting terrorist facilities across the border. In response, Pakistan conducted strikes on Indian bases from May 8 to 10, prompting a robust counter-attack on Pakistani military sites. A ceasefire agreement was reached on May 10.
Recently, the Indian Air Force also released rare aerial footage from the operation.
