Indian Army Heads to Cambodia for CINBAX-II 2026 Bilateral Military Exercise
A contingent from the Indian Army has set out for Cambodia to engage in the second India–Cambodia Bilateral Military Exercise, CINBAX-II. The event is slated to take place from May 4 to May 17, 2026.
Scheduled at the Techo Sen Phnom Thom Mreas Royal Cambodian Air Force Training Centre, also known as Camp Basil, in Kampong Speu Province, this exercise represents a significant effort to bolster defence cooperation and interoperability between India and Cambodia.
The focus of CINBAX-II 2026 will be on company-level joint training designed to enhance coordination and operational effectiveness in sub-conventional environments. The training will encompass tactical drills, joint planning, and the execution of operations that replicate real-world scenarios involving counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism efforts.
This exercise is anticipated to offer both nations valuable opportunities to exchange best practices, foster mutual understanding, and strengthen military-to-military relations.
India and Cambodia maintain warm and friendly ties, and joint exercises like this play a vital role in advancing defence collaboration while contributing to peace, stability, and security in the region.
