Indian Army Havildar Ravindra Singh Passes Away from Heart Attack on Duty in Arunachal Pradesh

Havildar Ravindra Singh, aged 36 and a member of the Indian Army's 15th Garhwal Rifles, died from a heart attack while on duty in Along (Aalo), Arunachal Pradesh, as confirmed by both officials and his family on Sunday.

Hailing from Agar village in the Dashjula Patti region of Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district, Havildar Ravindra Singh was deployed in demanding operational conditions when the cardiac event occurred. He leaves behind his wife, a son, and a daughter.

Family members indicated that his body was expected to arrive at the Army camp in Rudraprayag by Monday night. Plans were made to transport his remains to his hometown early Tuesday morning for the final rites, with a cremation to follow at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers in Rudraprayag, complete with full military honors.

The sudden passing of Havildar Singh has cast a shadow of grief over the entire village. Agar village head Chandrakala Devi noted the profound impact his death has had on the community, while social worker Pankaj Singh reflected on Havildar Singh's service with the 15th Garhwal Rifles since 2008, praising his humble and warm demeanor.

District Panchayat member Sari Jaivardhan Kandpal offered heartfelt condolences, highlighting Havildar Singh's dedicated and honorable service to the nation. "His death has unleashed a wave of sorrow throughout the district. The people hold him in high regard as a brave son of the soil, whose service will be eternally respected," he remarked.

The Indian Army, alongside the local community, paid tribute to Havildar Ravindra Singh, acknowledging his dedication and service while expressing their sympathies to his family.
