Indian Army Commando Course Completes at JL Wing, Belagavi with Lt Jai Lamba Named Best Officer
The esteemed Commando Course of the Indian Army concluded at the Jungle and Jungle Warfare Wing (JL Wing) on December 25, 2025, marking the completion of one of the military’s toughest mental and physical training regimens.
This course included participants from the Indian Army alongside those from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFC). A total of 16 officers and five Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) successfully finished the demanding program, highlighting India's robust military collaboration with its allied nations.

Maj Gen Rakesh Manocha, SM, VSM, Commander of JL Wing, addressed the valedictory ceremony, commending the trainees for their determination, strength, and combat readiness, while also honoring the award recipients.
From the Indian Army, Lt Jai Lamba of the Rajput Regiment was recognized as the Best Officer Trainee, and Lance Naik Jeewan Singh Karki of the Naga Regiment received the accolade of Best NCO Trainee.

In the FFC category, Lt Sudip Khadka from the Nepal Army was awarded the Best Officer Trainee, and Corporal Evalistus Booysen of the Namibia Defence Force was named Best NCO Trainee.

The successful conclusion of the course underscores the Indian Army's dedication to superior combat training, fostering joint learning, and enhancing international military partnerships, cultivating leaders adept at handling the most demanding operational circumstances.
