Indian Army and Zoho Corporation Collaborate to Boost Indigenous Digital Transformation
The Indian Army has taken a notable step in enhancing its digital capabilities by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zoho Corporation. This collaboration aims to accelerate digital transformation in line with the Army's vision of Jointness, Atmanirbharta, and Innovation, collectively known as JAI.
The MoU was signed by Lieutenant General Harsh Chhibber, Director General Information Systems (DGIS), and Rajendran Dandapani, Director of Engineering at Zoho Corporation. The signing was witnessed by Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi and Zoho Corporation's Founder, Sridhar Vembu.
This partnership is intended to foster research and development aimed at creating secure and sustainable digital solutions, as well as enhancing technology-related skills among Army personnel. The initiative is considered crucial to support the Indian Army's transition into a future-ready and digitally empowered force.
Both organizations will work on developing indigenous technological solutions that meet military needs, promoting innovation and self-reliance in essential digital areas. The partnership also seeks to enhance expertise in emerging technologies and build institutional capabilities to tackle future operational challenges.

Officials emphasized that the agreement supports the broader national goal of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, highlighting the importance of utilizing domestic technological expertise to improve defense preparedness and operational efficiency.
This collaboration is anticipated to lead to the development of secure digital platforms and innovative applications, which can enhance efficiency, decision-making, and organizational agility across various sectors of military operations and administration.
General Upendra Dwivedi emphasized the significance of adopting innovation and indigenous technology development as key factors in military modernization. The initiative demonstrates the Army's commitment to leveraging India’s technology sector to build resilient and future-focused digital ecosystems.
Zoho Corporation, a prominent technology company in India, brings substantial expertise in software development, cloud-based solutions, and enterprise technology platforms. Its partnership with the Indian Army is expected to greatly contribute to strengthening indigenous digital capabilities and supporting long-term transformation objectives.
