Indian Army and BSF Strengthen Border Security Collaboration at 2025 Synergy Conference

The Indian Army and Border Security Force (BSF) convened for the Annual Synergy Conference 2025 at the Western Command headquarters in Chandimandir, emphasizing their dedication to enhanced collaboration and integrated border security efforts. The event, themed "Ever Westwards," was attended by senior officials from both organizations, including Sh Satish S Khandare, ADG HQ Special DG BSF (Western Command), alongside delegates from the Punjab and Jammu Frontiers.

The conference focused on fortifying joint operations and coordination, with particular attention to the recent Operation Sindoor. This operation underscored the necessity for coordinated responses in high-risk scenarios, leading to discussions on integrating communication systems, establishing joint logistics frameworks, and enhancing counter-drone capabilities.

Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, PVSM, AVSM, Western Command GOC, highlighted the importance of fostering a Joint Security Force Culture. He emphasized that ongoing collaboration between the Army and BSF is vital to effectively counter evolving border threats and ensure national security.

During the conference, participants engaged in strategic briefings, field training exercises, and a ceremonial exchange of mementos, all of which signified the shared dedication to operational excellence and the defense of the nation.

The assembly concluded with a renewed commitment to establishing joint operational mechanisms and striving for continuous improvement in border management and response capabilities along India’s western frontier.
