Indian and Foreign Officers Recognized as Army Air Defence College Course Concludes
The Army Air Defence College has successfully concluded its Long Air Defence Course, which spanned 44 weeks and concentrated on contemporary air defence strategies and operations.
This intensive training program welcomed officers from the Indian Army as well as six international officers from countries like Botswana, Ghana, Myanmar, Nepal, and Malaysia, reflecting strong international defence collaboration.

Throughout the course, participants engaged in comprehensive training that covered both the technical and tactical elements of the latest Ground-Based Air Defence Systems (GBADS). The curriculum was tailored to provide the skills necessary for the innovative and technologically advanced deployment of air defence mechanisms in a modern combat setting.

Major Akshay Patil earned the esteemed Vayu Raksha Trophy for his exceptional performance, while Major Sumit Kumar was honored with the Commandant’s Trophy. These accolades were presented by Lieutenant General RC Srikanth, AVSM, VSM, the Commandant of the Army Air Defence College.
This course highlights the Indian Army's commitment to bolstering air defence readiness and enhancing its capability to address current and future aerial threats, ensuring the robust protection of national airspace.
