Indian Air Force Successfully Executes Exercise ADJO-2026, Showcases Interoperable Joint Operations
The Indian Air Force's Western Air Command, in strategic collaboration with the Northern, Western, and South Western Commands of the Indian Army, has effectively executed Exercise All Domain Joint Operations (ADJO) 2026.
This expansive exercise demonstrated the integration and joint operational prowess across various domains such as air, land, sea, space, cyber, information, and electronic warfare.
Whole-of-Nation Approach to Defence
The event underscored the synergy between the Indian Air Force, Indian Army, Indian Navy, state governments, and national agencies, epitomizing a Whole-of-Nation strategy for defense readiness.
Participants engaged in complex, realistic scenarios emphasizing integrated planning, adaptive decision-making, and real-time information exchange to facilitate effective mission execution.

IACCS at the Core of Operations
The Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) was pivotal in coordinating the exercise, offering real-time command, control, and situational awareness that enabled rapid and efficient response to simulated threats.
Participation of Aircraft, Drones and Air Defence Systems
The drill involved participation from the Indian Air Force and Indian Army, including fighter aircraft, helicopters, transport planes, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
Additionally, Surface-to-Air Guided Weapon (SAGW) units and electronic warfare jammer systems were incorporated into both offensive and defensive operations, showcasing the expanding role of modern air defense and electronic warfare capabilities.

Testing Support and Logistics Systems
Critical support functions such as logistics, maintenance, rapid runway repairs, administration, medical support, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) were evaluated. These systems were crucial in maintaining operational capacity under challenging conditions.
Strengthening Self-Reliant Defence
ADJO-2026 also emphasized the role of indigenous defense technologies under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, reinforcing India's capability to maintain air dominance, safeguard national interests, and respond assertively to emerging security threats.
The exercise represents a significant advancement towards future-ready, interoperable joint warfighting capabilities for India's armed forces.
