India–Kyrgyzstan Joint Military Exercise KHANJAR 2026 Commences, Fostering Special Forces Collaboration
The 13th edition of the India–Kyrgyzstan Joint Military Exercise, known as KHANJAR 2026, commenced with an opening ceremony at Misamari in Assam. This event marks a significant step forward in the defense collaboration between the two nations.
Scheduled to take place from February 4 to 17, 2026, the exercise is designed to enhance the interoperability of the Special Forces from both countries. The training will focus on urban warfare and counter-terrorism operations, conducted under a United Nations mandate, addressing the modern challenges associated with peacekeeping and stability missions.
