Inauguration of All India Vayu Sainik Camp 2025 at Bengaluru Marks Historic Cadet Participation
The All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC) 2025 was officially opened today at the Air Force Station in Jalahalli, Bengaluru. The inauguration was led by Air Vice Marshal Bijo John Mammen, who serves as the Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration at the Headquarters Training Command of the Indian Air Force. This camp, which will be held from September 18 to 29, represents a significant event in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) training schedule.
In a historic first, cadets from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are participating in the camp, joining their counterparts from all 17 NCC directorates nationwide. This inclusion underscores the NCC's commitment to promoting national integration and providing equal opportunities for youth development through military training.

This year's camp is packed with activities including microlight flying, drone operations, aeromodelling, and firing drills. These are complemented by competitive events aimed at fostering discipline and leadership abilities. The focus on aviation and unmanned systems aligns with the increasing interest in aerospace technology among cadets, which has risen by approximately 40% in recent years.
The selection of cadets for AIVSC 2025 was conducted through an extensive process, including Inter-Group Competitions and Pre-Vayu Sainik Camps held across the country. Many contingents, such as those from Maharashtra, set off for Bengaluru on September 17 to partake in this prestigious training program.

In his address to the cadets, Air Vice Marshal Mammen highlighted the camp's role in developing future leaders, instilling discipline, and cultivating a spirit of service. The event will also feature educational tours to prominent aerospace and defense organizations, providing cadets with direct exposure to advanced technologies.
The AIVSC 2025 not only emphasizes youth empowerment but also strengthens the NCC's standing as a vital element in national pride, character development, and preparing leaders for the future.
