IAF and Royal Navy Execute Joint Operation Over Indian Ocean with Advanced Fighter Jets

The Indian Air Force (IAF) engaged in a significant joint military exercise with the Royal Navy on October 14, 2025, over the Indian Ocean Region. This exercise featured the participation of IAF's Sukhoi-30 MKIs, Jaguars, AWACS, and AEW&C aircraft, working alongside F-35B fighters from the British aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales.

The primary aim of the exercise was to bolster interoperability and enhance operational coordination between the two air forces. It also sought to build mutual trust and reinforce a shared commitment to ensuring regional stability and maritime security.

The exercise included various mission profiles such as air combat drills, surveillance operations, and integrated fleet coordination. These activities underscored the IAF’s ability to operate in tandem with advanced foreign military platforms in a complex maritime environment.

This joint training highlights India's expanding defence collaborations with allied navies and air forces, emphasizing the strategic value of conducting multi-domain exercises in the Indo-Pacific region.
