Himachal's Aabha Transitions from Oracle Engineer to Indian Army Lieutenant, Upholding Family Legacy

Aabha's remarkable journey from a small village in Himachal Pradesh to the parade ground of Officers Training Academy (OTA) Gaya is a testament to her courage, legacy, and dedication to serving the nation.

As the daughter of Lance Naik Jeet Singh, who was posthumously awarded the Sena Medal for his bravery, Aabha has continued her family's three-generation tradition of service and sacrifice by becoming the first woman officer in her family with the Indian Army.

Graduating as an engineer from the prestigious National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, Aabha actively participated in the National Cadet Corps (NCC), eventually rising to the position of Senior Under Officer (SUO).

Despite securing a lucrative job offer from Oracle with a salary of ₹10 LPA, she chose to pursue her passion for serving the nation by joining the Indian Army, donning the Olive Green uniform.

During her time at OTA Gaya, Aabha demonstrated exceptional leadership and determination. Her notable achievements include leading her company to victory as Inter-Company Champions, winning a Silver Medal in Cross-Country, and exhibiting strong leadership, discipline, and military spirit.

Her performance throughout the rigorous training programme underscored her commitment to excellence and her resolve to carry forward her family's legacy.

Aabha's path reflects a deep-rooted spirit of service, sacrifice, and patriotism inherited from her family. By opting for a career in the armed forces over a lucrative corporate position, she has shown that true passion lies in serving one’s country.

Her story is an inspiration for many young aspirants, particularly girls from small towns and villages, who dream of serving their country.

As Aabha commissions as an officer in the Indian Army, her journey exemplifies how grit, determination, and courage can transform even the boldest dreams into reality.

Terms and Conditions of the Armed Forces Services has been diluted to the minimal as compared to other Central Civil Services including para military forces. While commitments has increased manifold. For All types of Aid to Civil, without exhausting the resources of Civil Administration, Armed Forces are requisitioned. Once the Armed Forces Columns Report, the Existing Civil Services elements are not visible at all as if the situation has been handed over to the Armed Forces and they are no more accountable.
In Civil society, the Armed Forces personal of All Ranks are ill treated by the Civil Administration and the Police, least realising that these personal are providing their selfless service for the safety and integrity of the nation and the citizens of this nation ignoring their families even.
There is in urgent need to look into the welfare matters of the Armed Forces personal. Ex-Servicemen are not looked after even by their own Service HQs, what to talk about the Govt. They are left on the roadside at their own.
God Bless the Indian Armed Forces.
My personal views. If not in agreement, kindly ignore and do pardon my above submission.
