HAWS Provides Specialised High-Altitude Warfare Training to US Air Force Team
The High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) recently completed a two-week intensive course specifically designed for a team of five from the United States Air Force. This specialized training focused on operating in high-altitude terrain under extreme weather conditions.

Throughout the course, participants received training in essential high-altitude warfare and survival techniques. They learned skills such as military skiing, evacuating casualties from mountainous and glacial areas, as well as avalanche rescue and recovery operations. This program aimed to boost operational efficiency in some of the world's most demanding environments.

The training also facilitated an exchange of ideas and experiences, where both groups shared best practices in advanced skiing techniques, combat medicine, and managing casualties at high altitudes. Officials noted that this interaction enhanced mutual understanding and strengthened military cooperation between India and the United States.

This collaboration highlighted HAWS' position as a leading global center for high-altitude warfare training and emphasized the expanding scope of Indo-US defense cooperation in specialized operational areas.
