General Upendra Dwivedi Inspects HAL's Aerospace Projects, Pilots LCH Prachand in Bengaluru
General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of Army Staff, recently visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru to assess the progress in domestic aerospace capabilities and projects connected to Army Aviation.
During his visit, Gen Dwivedi received an overview of the systems in place for upgrading and maintaining Army Aviation platforms, emphasizing India's increasing self-sufficiency in defence production and aviation technology.

A notable aspect of the visit was General Dwivedi's inaugural flight in the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Prachand. This provided him with direct experience of the helicopter's state-of-the-art performance and combat functionalities. The LCH Prachand is an indigenous platform developed for operations in high-altitude environments and precision strike missions.
This engagement highlights the Indian Army's commitment to modernization and self-reliance, with HAL being instrumental in fortifying the nation's aerospace and defence sector.

General Dwivedi expressed appreciation for the advancements being made in operational readiness with the aid of modern technology, reaffirming the Army's dedication to utilizing indigenous solutions for future combat needs.
