General Upendra Dwivedi Honors Fallen Soldiers at Arlington, Strengthens Ties at US Defense University
General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff, recently concluded his visit to the United States by paying homage to fallen soldiers at the Arlington National Cemetery. He laid a wreath in a solemn ceremony to honor their memory.
The Army Chief's tribute reflected the shared values of courage, duty, and remembrance between India and the United States, recognizing the service and sacrifice of military personnel.

During his visit, General Dwivedi also stopped at the National Defense University, where he engaged with senior leadership, faculty members, and course participants. His discussions focused on professional military education and strategic studies, alongside sharing perspectives on the evolving global security challenges.

The visit emphasized strengthening India–US defence relations through enhanced cooperation, promoting knowledge exchange, and fostering strategic dialogue. It aimed to build deeper institutional and military linkages between the two countries.

These engagements highlight the Indian Army's dedication to reinforcing global partnerships and advancing cooperation in the domains of defence and security, aiming towards a stronger strategic partnership with the United States.
