General Upendra Dwivedi Awards Seven Veterans for Distinguished Service and Contributions
At a ceremony held at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi presented the Veteran Achievers Award to seven esteemed veterans. These individuals were recognized for their exceptional contributions in fields such as veteran welfare, education, youth empowerment, social service, environmental sustainability, and nation-building.
The honorees included Colonel Gyan Prakash Misra, SM (Retd), Colonel Raghuvir Singh Bhaskar (Retd), Lieutenant Colonel Shikha Garg (Retd), Risaldar Major (Honorary Captain) Liaqkat Ali (Retd), Subedar (Honorary Captain) Om Prakash (Retd), Subedar Major Sumer Singh (Retd), and Havildar Jeeva Raj Singh (Retd).
General Dwivedi praised the veterans for their continued service to society, emphasizing how they have carried forward their dedication beyond their military careers through various community-focused initiatives.
