Fighter Squadron Wins Camp Varuna 2025 at Indian Naval Academy

The cadets from the 6th and 7th terms, along with the 2nd term NOC (Extended) at the Indian Naval Academy, demonstrated exceptional perseverance and teamwork during the four-day Camp Varuna, an annual assessment focused on endurance, leadership, and seamanship.

Throughout the camp, participants engaged in rigorous early morning navigation exercises which required significant stamina and willpower. The demanding 9 NM pulling regatta further tested their strength and collaborative efforts. Cadets also honed their skills in open sea sailing and watermanship drills, facing the challenging elements of the sea and wind to enhance their coordination and determination.

The intensity of the camp was heightened by multiple live-firing sessions, aimed at improving the cadets' focus and precision under pressure. Each activity was a stepping stone towards mastering the physical and mental demands essential for life at sea, as the training aimed to mold not only officers but leaders with character and courage.

The camp concluded with a Campfire Night ceremony, attended by Vice Admiral V. Srinivas, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (South). Stories of bravery, camaraderie, and triumph echoed as the cadets celebrated their unbreakable spirit under a starlit sky.

The Fighter Squadron emerged victorious, earning the prestigious Camp Varuna honors, a reflection of their discipline, endurance, and resilience.

From dawn to dusk, Camp Varuna 2025 embodied the essence of the Indian Navy's perseverance at sea, excellence on land, and the steadfast determination to overcome every challenge.
