Delhi Students Honor IAF Personnel in Raksha Bandhan Ceremony at Air Force Station

In an early commemoration of Raksha Bandhan, students from various schools in Delhi-NCR gathered at the Air Force Station in New Delhi to tie rakhis to members of the Indian Air Force (IAF). This act was a token of respect and gratitude towards the personnel.

The event was graced by the presence of Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, who took over the role of Chief of the Air Staff on September 30, 2024. He interacted with the students, highlighting the significance of fostering a connection between the military and the youth to cultivate a sense of patriotism and resilience.

Raksha Bandhan traditionally celebrates sibling relationships but has expanded to pay tribute to the nation's protectors. During the celebration, students also shared sweets with the air warriors, reaffirming the Indian Air Force's critical role as defenders of India's skies.

This event is part of the Air Force's broader community engagement initiatives. The program concluded with a group photograph, symbolizing the festive spirit and the deepening relationship between the armed forces and the society they protect.
