Combat Leadership Training for Junior Indian Army NCOs Begins at Dhana Academy

The Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) Academy in Dhana initiated the Combat Leadership Course for Junior Leaders on November 10, 2025. This intensive six-week program assembles NCOs from various Combat and Combat Support Arms of the Indian Army, aiming to enhance their leadership skills and operational capabilities.

In response to the rapidly changing battlefield landscape and technological advancements in warfare, the course is structured to improve participants' cognitive and technical abilities. It emphasizes decision-making and problem-solving skills, which are fundamental for effective leadership in contemporary military contexts.

The program is designed to equip NCOs with the confidence, tactical knowledge, and adaptability needed to lead effectively in complex combat situations.

This training initiative is in line with the Academy's motto, “युद्ध नेतृत्व कौशल वहाम्यहम्,” which translates to “We embody the skill of combat leadership.”

Through this comprehensive training module, the Indian Army remains committed to preparing junior leaders who are not only capable but also technologically adept, ready to address upcoming operational challenges with professionalism and determination.
