COAS General Upendra Dwivedi Commends NCC Cadets During Republic Day Camp 2026 Visit

General Upendra Dwivedi, holding the titles of PVSM and AVSM, and serving as the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), made a visit to the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026. During his visit, he assessed the activities and engaged with cadets from various regions of the nation.

Upon his arrival, the COAS was welcomed by Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, who is the Director General of NCC. General Dwivedi was greeted with a ceremonial Guard of Honour led by Senior Under Officer (SUO) Utkarsh Sharma. This ceremonial start was complemented by an energetic band performance delivered by the Scindia Band from Gwalior, which added a lively atmosphere to the event.

During his tour, the Army Chief explored the carefully arranged Flag Area, where NCC cadets showcased diverse social awareness themes. These presentations emphasized key national priorities, civic duties, and social consciousness, demonstrating the cadets' grasp of current issues and their dedication to contributing to nation-building efforts.

General Dwivedi also spent time at the NCC Hall of Fame, which highlights the organization's illustrious history, significant achievements, and its lasting role in developing disciplined and responsible youth who contribute positively to the nation.

This visit emphasized the close ties between the Indian Army and the NCC, reinforcing the organization's crucial role in fostering leadership, discipline, patriotism, and civic values among the youth of India.
