CISF Jawan Suresh Kumar Maharia Tragically Falls to Death in Madhya Pradesh Gorge

A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan from Rajasthan, Suresh Kumar Maharia, died in a tragic accident in the Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. The unfortunate event occurred on the evening of July 25 when Maharia slipped and fell into a 60-foot-deep gorge located between the areas of Tamia and Parasia.
Reports indicate that Maharia, who hailed from Kansarda ki Dhani in Jajod, Shri Madhopur, had exited a vehicle near Lahgadua-Ankhawadi and was making his way toward a nearby hill when he lost his footing and plunged into the ravine. Despite the challenging conditions due to heavy rainfall, a rescue effort was launched by Parasia Police and emergency responders. After two hours, Maharia was retrieved with ropes and transported to a hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
His body is expected to reach Shri Madhopur by 12 noon today, and a funeral procession with full military honors and the national flag will be conducted to pay tribute to him.
Suresh Kumar Maharia had been serving in the CISF since 2015. He leaves behind his wife, who is a homemaker, a daughter attending college, and a son who is in Class 10. His father is engaged in agriculture, while his mother predeceased him. He also has a younger brother working in the private sector, and his brother's wife is a member of the Rajasthan Police.
The news of his death has brought a wave of sorrow to his home village, deeply affecting the community.
