Chandigarh NCC Cadet Shrshti Sharma Secures All India Rank 1 in NCC 124 Special Entry Course

Shrshti Sharma, an active cadet of the 1 Chandigarh Girls Battalion, has secured All India Rank 1 in the NCC 124 Special Entry Course, taking a major step towards her ambition of joining the Indian Army as an officer.

The achievement stands out not just for the top rank, but also for the consistency Sharma has shown through the Services Selection Board process. She has been recommended by the SSB five times, a record that reflects repeated success in one of the most competitive filters for officer selection in the armed forces.

Sharma’s path through the National Cadet Corps has also included participation at the national level. She represented NCC in two major camps, including Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Phase IX and the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2022, both of which are among the most prominent platforms available to cadets across the country.

She was additionally part of the Cultural Contingent and took part in the Prime Minister’s Rally, further adding to her experience in high-profile NCC activities that bring together cadets selected from across India.

Her selection at the top of the NCC 124 Special Entry Course reflects the discipline, leadership and persistence she has built as a cadet. For Sharma, the result brings her closer to the goal she has been working towards: serving the nation in uniform as an officer in the Indian Army.
