CDS General Anil Chauhan Assesses Operational Preparedness of Chinar Corps in North Kashmir
General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff, conducted a visit to forward areas under the Chinar Corps in North Kashmir, focusing on evaluating the operational readiness and security conditions along the Line of Control.
While on his visit, General Chauhan assessed the security environment along the LoC in North Kashmir, applauded the Corps for their high operational readiness and professionalism, and received a briefing in Baramulla concerning Future Force Application and the infusion of technology.
In discussions with the officers, General Chauhan emphasized a transition from domain-centric warfare to Multi-Domain Operations (MDO). He outlined the importance of integrating land, air, maritime, cyber, space, and cognitive domains, and highlighted the necessity for a strong and integrated warfighting framework.
General Chauhan underscored the importance of speeding up joint training for future warfare, aligning doctrines across different services, and creating interoperable command and control systems.
The CDS called for increased technological adaptation and innovation, the development of cognitive resilience and collective preparedness, and a comprehensive national approach to security.
During his visit, General Chauhan also engaged with the civil administration and key stakeholders in Baramulla, reviewing ongoing initiatives aimed at nation-building and fostering stability in the region.
He concluded by urging all ranks to continue operational excellence and adopt jointness as a lifestyle, ensuring they are prepared to face the entire spectrum of future conflicts in a changing security landscape.
