Captain Kaushal Joshi Honored as Top Officer at AFMS Commissioning Parade
In a significant event, the ceremonial parade of MOBC-255 witnessed the commissioning of 123 young Medical and Dental Officers, among them 32 Women Officers, into the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). This marks their formal entry into military medical service.
The parade was reviewed by Lt Gen Shivinder Singh, AVSM, who serves as the Commandant of the Armed Forces Medical College Centre and College. He urged the newly commissioned officers to serve with compassion, humility, and dedication, emphasizing the crucial role medical officers play in protecting the lives and well-being of soldiers in both peaceful and conflict scenarios.

Captain Kaushal Joshi earned the distinction of Best All-Round Officer, recognized for his outstanding achievements in academics, military training, leadership, and overall conduct throughout the course.

During their training, the officers were thoroughly educated in military ethos, combat medicine, Combat Casualty Care, and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), equipping them to perform in challenging operational settings.

Having completed their training successfully, these newly commissioned officers are now prepared to contribute to the nation with honor, highlighting the essential function of the Armed Forces Medical Services in sustaining the operational capacity of the Armed Forces.
