Capt Biva Samadder Elevated to Captain Rank in NCC Ceremony

Lieutenant (Dr) Biva Samadder, who serves as a Professor at Surendranath College and holds the position of Associate NCC Officer with the 2 Bengal Battalion NCC, has been elevated to the rank of Captain. The ceremonial pipping, which celebrated her promotion, was conducted by the Additional Director General of the National Cadet Corps West Bengal and Sikkim Directorate.

Having a background as an NCC cadet herself, Capt Biva Samadder has been honored with numerous accolades over her career. She is a two-time recipient of the Governor’s Medal and has been awarded the Governor’s Scroll of Honour, showcasing her outstanding achievements.

Her exceptional dedication to her duties is further highlighted by being named the Best Associate NCC Officer on four occasions. This recognition underscores her ongoing commitment to cadet training, leadership development, and motivating youth.
