Kupwara, October 9, 2026: An Assistant Commandant of the Border Security Force (BSF) died after he was found unconscious and unresponsive in the Doban area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday, officials said.

According to official sources cited in reports, the officer was discovered in an unresponsive condition in Doban and was immediately taken for medical attention. Doctors at the medical facility later declared him brought dead on arrival.
