Brigadier VS Chauhan Opens Four-Day NCC Scuba Diving Camp in Chandigarh

A four-day Scuba Diving Camp was organized by the 1 Naval Unit Chandigarh under the supervision of the NCC Group Chandigarh for 200 cadets from various units of the Chandigarh Group. The event took place from May 25 to May 28, 2026.

Brigadier VS Chauhan, Group Commander of the Chandigarh Group, inaugurated the camp. During the launch, he emphasized the significance of adventure-based training in fostering confidence, discipline, leadership, and resilience among the cadets.

The training program was aimed at providing cadets with extensive exposure to underwater diving activities. It focused on introducing them to the essentials of scuba diving, including safety protocols and aquatic skills.

According to officials, the camp presented a rare opportunity for cadets to engage in challenging training settings, which enhanced their physical fitness, mental strength, and team-building skills.

In conjunction with the diving camp, a Felicitation Ceremony was held to honor cadets who excelled in a variety of NCC competitions, training sessions, and activities at the national level.

Cadets from all four battalions of the Chandigarh Group were recognized for their outstanding performances and contributions, underscoring the high standards of training and achievement within the National Cadet Corps.

The event highlighted NCC’s dedication to comprehensive personal development through adventure and leadership training. It served as motivation for cadets to continue pursuing excellence in their service and contributions to nation-building.
