Assam Rifles Honors Lt Wikhamlubou Pamei in Manipur Felicitation Ceremony
The Mantripukhri Battalion of Assam Rifles held a ceremony on March 14, 2026, to honor Lieutenant Wikhamlubou Pamei, who has recently been commissioned into the Indian Army from the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.

The event saw participation from senior Assam Rifles officials and troops, celebrating the officer's accomplishment and aiming to inspire regional youth to consider careers in the armed forces.

Lt Wikhamlubou Pamei, originally from Kuilong village in Manipur's Tamenglong district and currently living in Kanglatongbi, Imphal West, has become a source of pride for his family and community with his rise from a remote village to a commissioned officer.

At the ceremony, speakers emphasized that Lt Pamei's success is a testament to his perseverance, dedication, and commitment to national service. His achievement serves as an inspiration for the youth of Manipur, encouraging them to pursue careers in the armed forces and contribute to nation-building efforts.
